STRIVE is a program designed for high school students with special needs. Students are accepted into the program through the IEP process.
The focus of this program is on team work, social skills, communication skills, and basic employability skills. Basic math skills are emphasized as (an important life skill) a life long learning skill, along with basic reading skills. Students will have the opportunity to practice these skills through classroom discussions, woodworking, small greenhouse projects, and field trips. Academics will include math skills at individual levels and group discussions about current events using Scholastic Upfront Magazine. Some writing will be expected of students.

This is a Pre-Technical program. A meeting with the instructor is required prior to admission.
