Preparing Students for Career, College, & Community

Waldo County Technical Center (WCTC)  honored its highest achieving students from the 2024 - 2025 school year on May 14, by inducting them into the National Technical Honor Society(NTHS). The ceremony was held at the Belfast Boathouse and was presided over by Travis Wood, WCTC’s director and Bonnie Kein, advisor and WCTC’s student services coordinator. 

National Technical Honor Society members must be Juniors or Seniors currently enrolled at WCTC with a 93% grade point average at the Tech Center and an 85% average or better from their partner school.  They must have exemplary attendance and have no disciplinary referrals from either school.  They must exhibit the seven attributes valued by NTHS: skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership.  

Students from all of Waldo County’s high schools were inducted this spring.  From Belfast Area High School (BAHS): Mone’e Heroux from Pathways In Education, Nicholas Hiccock from Carpentry, Jade Luckwick from Automotive Technology, Jordyn MacKay from CNA, Aden Penney from Welding Technology, Jayna-Lyn Relyea from Culinary Arts, Adam Robson from Welding Technology, Nicole Shorey from Pathways in Education, and Odelyn Simon from Auto Collision Repair.  From Mount View High School (MVHS): Arianna Bradeen from CNA, Brady Bryant from Electrical Trades, Sierra Caruso from Graphic Design, Landon Keithan from Auto Collision Repair, and  Emily Richards from Electrical Trades,   From Searsport District High School SDHS): Baileigh Bagley from CNA, Aiden Boyd from Culinary Arts and Jacob Daigle from Graphic Design.

Returning members are: Logen Bolduc from Electrical Trades (MVHS), Dillon Clark from Culinary Arts (BAHS), and Kathleen Philbrook from Graphic Design (Homeschooled)
